I'm having an issue with my 2001 S4 External Temperature sensor. The temperature fluctuates between -56 and the correct temp. I had a mechanic take a look at replacing the front external sensor but that didn't fix the issue. The kicker of it is, it works fine all winter long. The only time it seems to act goofy is when it's hot and humid outside. This causes the car to think it's cold outside and the air conditioner won't kick on, thus blowing hot air. This is leading me to believe that the problem may be a short in a wire somewhere. I've had this car for 6+ years and I'm basically looking to run it into the ground. I'm hoping to not dump a bunch of money into at this time but I'd like to correct this issue.

Another strange thing that I noticed this winter was one night when it was really humid and rainy, the alarm was acting up. No matter if the car was locked or not, the alarm kept going off. Is there any wiring setup that is shared between the alarm and the temperature sensors?

Anyone with knowledge in this area or who has come across this with their car and found a fix, your input would be greatly appreciated.
