2002 TT - crankcase vent system hoses cracked
Took my TT to Audi because of a check engine light. Fault was found for system being too lean and after they checked it found several cracked hoses from the crankcase vent system.
Here is the parts list they say need replaced.
06A103221BH Venthose 103 $88.80
06A103493BD Hose 103 $32.81
06A103213BG Tube 103 $103.50
06A103247 Housing 103 $16.68
06A103213F Tube 103 $72.60
035103245A Valve 103 $27.72
N10258101 Clip 258 $4.13 (x7) $28.91
Not sure the parts list will mean anything to anyone.
My question is, seems awfully pricey and this does not include the $360.00 they want for labor. Is this something I should be able to easily do myself or is there special equipment involved? Also, should I be able to get the parts cheaper? Anybody ever need to do this and have any recommendations? I've read some other older posts on this and seems several have done some mods. I just want to fix the issue, save some money and have my car perform as it did a week ago. Gas mileage and power are screwed right now.
Thanks in advance.
