Default 2006 Audi A4 3.2 FSI P0346

All...I have this code presenting itself on my car now. I was going to replace the camshaft sensor. Before doing so I checked the voltage on the plug going to the one I thought it was. Compared to the voltage on all of the other cam sensor plugs this one is different. I'm getting a 5V, 5V, 0V on the other three cam sensor plugs but am getting a 5V, 0V, 0V on the one I think is bad. So...I traced the "bad" wire back to the fire wall checking it periodically along the way to see if the wire may have broken. I got a consistent 0V on that wire back to the firewall. My next step is to jump into the ECU and check the voltage for that wire there.

My question is this: What if I just jumped a wire from one of the good camshaft sensors to the one I suspect is bad to supply it the proper voltage? My thought is if the voltage for that wire is bad in the ECU that I would need an ECU replacement. I really don't want to do that. Any thoughts?

I'm sure you could jump it since they are probably all fed from the same pin in the ECU. Do a temporary jump first and see what happens.
