Default 99 A4 1.8t CV boot replacement

I also made a post for replacement of upper control arms, and while I am doing this I need to replace my front left outer CV boot that just formed a small tear over memorial day weekend (I will also replace any others if they show sign of excessive wear). I've rebuilt CV joints before and it really isn't too difficult, and I don't want to replace the axle since that significantly increases costs. From the work I have done, if the CV joint is free and clean of damage after cleaning (gouges, scratches, etc...), replacing the grease and boot does the trick. Has anyone had experience with AUDI CV joints that could offer me any tips or tricks, or a worthwhile service manual to purchase.

Thanks for reading and any suggestions you can offer.

I forgot to add that I read the post a little further down the topics page, but just wanted to see if there is anything else I might want to know. Thanks.

Nothing really special. Not even any clips to remove or anything. The joint just hammers off. Just clean it with brake clean and regrease. Youll find the links are most easily replaced by removing the complete strut assembly. It will also make halfshaft removal that much easier.
