Default 99 A4 1.8t Front-Upper Control Arm Replacement

When replacing the front-upper control arms and tie rod ends, are there any tricks that I might want to know? From what I understand, I will have to remove the shocks and springs (my car is equipped with Bilstein shocks and Neuspeed springs) in order to remove the bolts at the bushings, but it all looks pretty straight forward. The ball joint end also looks straight forward. I have also worked with tie rod ends on other cars, so that also should not be a problem. But, any tips or tricks that I should know about would be greatly appreciated. Also, does anyone recommend a good service manual, and where I can purchase it from. At the least, torque specs would be handy to know since I don't have a book with recommended torque specs for various nuts and bolts.

Thanks for reading and any suggestions you can offer.
