Hi all I have an A3 and I am having a problem with the door switches??
The interior light stays on and the display on the dash shows that one of the doors is open..
This does not happen all the time and I cant find where the front doors operate a switch.....can anyone help??

The switch is in the door lock you need to replace it, but be carefull that you replace the side that is faulty some of the older A3 displays show the smae door opening on the display weather your opening the left door or the right door once you have decided which door lock it is you need to remove the door card and the window regulator frame this is held in by four 45 torques bolts. When you put it back make sure that you line the bolts up with the old marks on the door so that the frame lines up and you don't have any gaps between the window frame and the shell of the car.
