A3 nightmare

A3 nightmare
It started when the engine managemnt light was on and fan wouldn't stop after i turned off the car. Took it to the local garage, they said it was a head gasket and it is gonna be £600. Then i took it to another garage, just for a second opinion, they said that head gasket is fine, they changed fan relay and a pump. When i picked up the car it looked fine, fan was working properly and engine management light was off. Drove it down the road, then it started choking and when i stoped it i couldnt start it again, battery was dead. Finaly took it to Audi garage, thinking that they must be able to fix it, its their own make... Just got the phone call fromAudi, they said that they can't find why the car is choking, and they want to change battery, spark plug wires and some kind of breezer hose , which i have never heard of in my life and they want to charge me £2200 plus they can;t guarantee that the car will be fixed then. I have no idea what to do. Just fed up. My A3 is the end of 2000 and i think is worth about the same money as i would have to pay for repaires...

RE: A3 nightmare
personally I think the garages you took it to are a load of ripoffs and don't have a clue what they are doing apart from stealing your money, did you get a read out of any codes from the Audi dipsh1ts because your entitled to that then you could post the fault codes here
