I would be grateful for any help/ advice on this...
Initial fault.. boot lid would not open electrically either from fob, inside car or boot switch but would open using key in boot.
Checked fuse 38 it was OK.
Disconnected solenoid mechanically and electrically and manually operated lock using cable from solenoid, worked OK, no stiction.
Decided solenoid was probably at fault as it was not moving when fob button pressed so went into house for more tools, shut boot as tools lying it and I did not want them to get stolen, came back out only to discover that the boot will not now open at all.
Called AA, Audi and a local Auto electrician, all no help.
Cannot easily access boot space as the seats do not fold down and there is no SKI access thingy
Please help as I do not want to give Audi my money for what may be a 2 minute fix.
PS yeah I know I was an idiot for closing the boot lid but hindsight is a great thing.
