Hi,
I have an audi A6 2003 saloon and the boot would not close, in my wisdom i removed theinside linerfrom theboot and disconected one of the rods i then closed the boot and now it will not open. i can hear the motor going but i obviously disconected the wrong thing.

How can i access the boot as there is a metal panel behind the rear seats?
please help!

 

your rear seats don't fold down? if they do, i'd just fold them down and crawl back into the trunk and reconnect whatever you disconnected. at least that way it'll open, but i have no idea why it wouldn't have closed in the first place, besides maybe the latch needs adjusting.

 

the back seats dont fold down, so i removed them completely and found a metal plate(which is welded not bolted)stopping me from getting into the boot via the back seats
