Looking for an alternative to a supercharger that will be cheaper but still get near the same amount of power for a 2001 2.8l A4. The supercharger i was looking at would give around 290hp/260 torque with a chip. Has anyone turboed an a4 2.8? Would it be possible to run a setup like the 2001 s4 with twin turbos? I was thinking of putting the one or two turbos on and getting a chip and new exhaust and hoping that it would turn out to be about the same power-wise as the supercharger.
Any suggestions as to what kind of turbocharger to get?

My friend you picked one of the worst audi engines to tool around with. Dont get me wrong its a strong rliable and powerful engine but has no tuning potential. unless you want to drop big bucks. also a simple 2.7t conversion is also pretty expensive. other than trying to find custom parts for the turbo setup single or twin would require you to lower the compression and overall working in the a4 engine compartment is just plain cramped. if your looking for power just supercharge it and be happy with the result( remember no turbo lag) or just save up and by a s4 or 1.8t
