Default A6 "brake fault" warning

Hello,

I have an '05 A6 Quattro 3.2 that is giving e a brake fault warning and directing me to drive "safey to the nearest workshop." I am assuming that this is a notification to replace the pads as the car has 57K on it and the pads were last replaced around 30K IIRC. Just want to make sure I don't have more top worry about here. Thanks for the help and I'm glad I found this site.....

I had the same on my A4, just needed a little top-off off on the fluid, still had decent pads...mine are only now getting close at 50k.

Shop said I just had a very sensitive sensor, and the amount that my pads had worn was enough to trigger the drop in fluid.
