abs light on, is it disconnected? Inspection
Hello,
i am the guy who had the problem with the DLC connectiong to the NYS inspection computer. Well, I am told that if the abs light is on it won't allow the DLC to connect. So the abs must be disconnected. Well, I have disconnected the plug on top and bottom of the module but the light is still on. Anyone know if this is all I have to do, OR could I just pull the fuse to make this thing work.

I gotta get the car inspected. I'll worry about fixing the problem later. Or maybe not, I don't like abs. Will someone please tell me if I just pull the plug on top if that disconnects the abs to pass inspection. I don't want to hear any crap about no abs because a good set of snows and some basic driving skill are much better than the current system.

RE: abs light on, is it disconnected? Inspection
we have a strange situation where my local dealership told me that in order for the inspection computer to connect with the car, the abs light cannot be on or must be disconnected. This is the cars fault because in New York the abs is not on the inspection. The car is essentially preventing the connection because this stupid light. Has anyone heard of this? I, of course, am avoiding the dealership because if I even pull up out front of the place wads of money fly out of my wallet.
