Default ABS problems please help!

I have a 99.5 A4 quattro. It is horrible in the snow! there is almost no stopping it.. My abs/brake lights are flashing, I replaced front and rear pads and rotors.. when I stop suddenly it keeps going and there is a grinding or clicking sound. I don't think my abs is working at all.. does this sound like the ABS module? I honestly can't drive it if there is even a light dusting of snow on the ground, I hit the breaks and it just keeps on truckin.. and we are talking trying to slow from 15mph

And help is great guys

sounds to me like one or more of the speed sensors is messed up. Get a scanner and read the codes that were set for the abs. or learn to pump your brakes when it slippery :P

Good tires will help in snow.

Sounds like one of the ABS senors has broken down if you have access to VAG this can be tested. Go into
brakes 03
Read measured value blocks 08
001
this will display the readouts of the ABS sensors for all four wheels, then just drive the car while monitoring the read outs and see if any are diffrent to the rest. If so the ABS sensor requires replacment.
