AC Stops working.... pipes frozen

Default AC Stops working.... pipes frozen

Ok I have an 05 Audi A4 1.8t.... anyways after driving for say 30 or so minutes the AC stops working.

So I decided to look in the engine bay and found this:

Yes all that white stuff is ice/frost forming on the pipes and what not...

Any ideas

Evap coils dirty, Cabin filter dirty, low refrigerant charge...

it freezes cause there is a blockage. at the end of the freezing is where the blockage is.

either way the system has to be EVAC and flushed. Change the orfice tube while your at it

Looking at the pictures it might the drier thats clogged. which would get replaced. not flushed

not sure on the B6 but the B5 had an orafice that can clog, its farily easy to remove and clean/replace.
