Hey guys. I have an 2011 A4 and I just rear ended someone. The driver side headlight is out and now the dashboard says "Vehicle Light Malfunction". Does this mean the bulb is broke or i need to replace the whole headlight?

 

I would start with just the bulb. These cars check for resistance(good filament) and if it is too high(open/broken) will report a failure. If the housing isn't damaged the filament may have just broken.
