Default Aftermarket HID's Inspection

Hey,
I recently installed my aftermarket HID's (6000k) in my 2001 s4. After the installation I found out that I would get a bulb out light on my dash. A couple days later a thread came out about placing a resonator in between the headlight connector and the HID connector...

With my bulb out light on, will I pass inspection? Even though all my bulbs work properly...

What your looking for is a resistor. I would assume it would pass. They are checking for headlight operation, not whether the car thinks the lights are working or not.

Ya I know I need resistors...I just wasn't sure whether or not inspection stations tapped into your cars ecu to see whether or not lights were working. And being a light (bulb out) on it would automatically fail you.

thanks, derek.
