I have a 2001 allroad and need to replace the battery. It looks like it's wedged in pretty tight between the engine and the firewall.

Is replacing the battery something I can do easily? If so, what are the steps involved?

Its pretty easy. Theres just enough room to squeeze it in and out without removing anything. The only hard part is manufuering the heavy battery thru the narrow gap.
