Annoying interior squeak in rear cabin
Hi folks! Just bought a recent preowned 2005 A4 1.8T. Noticed an annoying squeak coming from the back seat area on somewhat rough terrain....lovely seattle roads. Sounds like rubber against metail. I've read that there is a common squeak in the A4 that come from the rear where plastic touches the leather. Any similar problems and easy remedies?
Thanks

RE: Annoying interior squeak in rear cabin
I have a 2003 A4 that has the same problem and I found mine to be the metal clip that is part of the rear seat that attaches to the frame. Your rear seat cushion pulls up and there are two Metal clips that insert into two seperate slots. The clips are coated and that is the rubber against metal sound. Almost sounds like two balloons rubbing against each other. Check by lightly lifting on the rear seat to see if yours are loose. Im looking into seeing how to fix this. My first idea was to rap the two clips with electral tape. Let me know what you find.
