Default Annoying squeak. Please help!

I have a relatively loud squeaking noise when i'm turning, and i'm pretty sure its only at low speeds, or else i can't hear it over the exhaust when going faster. I thought it was one of the tie rods on the front right wheel, but my local ripoffship told me that they think its the p/s pump. Are either of us right?

take it two other places for opinions first... it's hard to gauge things like this without hearing or seeing the car. I believe that a tie rod replacementis probably cheaper than P/S pump, no idea on the cost of a P/S pump and labor.

p/s pump is around 260 plus labor, and i'm not sure where thats located under the hood. I can tell that the sound is coming from the front right tho for sure.

yeah i have that problem too but it is coming from my brakes cause it really starts when i stop. and i hear it only squeak when the rotor is at one point to the caliper. i would check brakes also, could have warped something or jstu need to change the pads cause of uneven wear.

i bet is the p/s pump....common on the s4....try this...i bet it only make noise when you crank the steering all da way max....change it when it start leaking...otherwise like most of us....just leave it alone and try not to crank the steering wheel all the way if don't have to
