Hi, Got a 1994 '80 2 litre 8 valve, very slight and damn annoying hesitation under heavy power demand, sometimes manifests itself as a general reluctance to go over 5k rpm.

I have replaced plugs, airfilter, leads, distributor cap, rotor arm, fuel filter and filled the tank with Shell Optimax 98 octane.... and yet it still comes back just when you want it least!

To me it feels electrical in nature, but i'm open to suggestions..... car is showing 137k but has been well mantained and looked after (at least til now!) and I'm gonna be driving it to Ibiza in May... by which time I'd really like her to be sweet.

Short of a session on a rolling road i'm unsure what to try! (not done much with Audi before but am a fully time served technician and MOT tester)
