hi,my a3 seems to be stuck in a high gear,put into reverse but goes forward,hlp please

 

I have exactly the same problem: my '97 A3 (manual) has been off the road for 2 years or so (outside, but under a cover). Now, it won't go into reverse. The stick feels as if it's in reverse, but the car goes forward. The reversing lights aren't on.

Any thoughts would be much appreciated!

 

gear linkage had frctured on mine,just a bolt that joins wire from gearbox to gear selector.cost 66 quid plus parts and labour to repair and vat of course.genuine audi part

 

The reversing lights on my 2014 A3 are not bright enough. Can i upgrade the bulb?
