Default Audi A4 2009, automatic transmission shudder going to full stop.

We just bought an Audi A4 2009 in Canada. After few days we started feeling a "shudder" going to full stop. I have noticed that the problem occurs going from D2 to D1 from about 5 to 2 km/h. The Audi's technician said that this is normal but I would like to know if somebody in this forum knows something about this problem.
Thanks.

I have a 2000 Audi A6 Quattro 4.2 L V8 naturally aspirated engine. When I am slowing down (coming to a stop or reducing speed to go around a curb at about 5-10 mph, It feels like the torque converter or something is causing a drag and it wont down shift quickly. The car doesn't shake like you say, but it feels like it's stuck on second. once in a great while I'll feel a hard shift or clunk into second when reving up after I slow down to almost stop, like if I almost stopped but accelerated quickly. I am sure its getting stuck on second on the downshift at times. I hope someone answers our question soon.
