if you are having trouble with your heater it may be the motor brushes. if the motor is noisey, runs intermitantly,the brushes wear down to a limit and fail to make a good contact. to remove take out the glove box three bolts inside two inside the pannel by the passenger door diconect the wires to the foot well lamp .then looking up inside there is a metal bracket remove 4 10mm bolts the motor is in front of you on the bulkhead 5 cross head screws and the motor is free disconect the two wires to the motor . with the motor on the bench there is like three rubber lugs that need to be compresed this will release the motor from the housing the brushes are held in by two silver clips .you wiil need access to a soldering iron to complete this job .the brushes are availablr from WATSON ELECTRICAL ON 01530 8112200 email sales@miwatson-electric.ltd.uk based in the uk THIS IS A LOT CHEAPER THAN A NEW HEATER MOTOR FROM AUDI
