Please, please... Will someone please tell me how to lift the head off this 2001 tt 1.8 quad turbo????
I have all the head bolts out, flex pipe off, intake off. There seem s to be something still holding the head on the driver's side/firewall side of the head. Can it possibly be the boot. ...and, important: Does the exhaust manifold have to come off the head to remove the head?

I still have the exhaust manifold on. There are 3 e14 reverse torx bolts easy to get at on top of the manifold. Unfortunately, i used an advance auto e14 socket which managed to slip off all 3!. Purchased a snap-on socket the next day. The first bolt i tried, it came right out. Not the same luck w/ the other 2. Now it's slipping.
Will someone please respond. I have tools and equipment. Tell me what to do and i know i can do it. Thanks. 4nanart3@gmail.com
