auto climate control off...but still messing with me!
hey everyone,
so being an audi noob, i've slowly been learing things for the past few weeks on my b5 a4.
one thing i can't seem to figure out is climate control.
i like to control my fan settings, and so 'auto' climate control is always off.
but the blower seems to have a mind of its own, and still randomly increases the fan settings while i'm driving.
so then i turn the fan down, and a few minutes later, the blower's running fast again!
can anyone tell me how i can manually control the fan myself all the time?
also, as a bonus question, i just noticed a button on the pillar between the driver and rear doors.
looks like a 'recirculating air' button. is that what it is, or is it something else?
thanks,
- Micah

If the fan speed increases, try turning down the temp setting (in the winter, for summer turn it up). I don't have an A4, but my A6 had a "recirculating" button in the centre climate contol. On the B-pillar we have a button, looks like radio waves, to turn off the interior motion sensor.
