Hi, my 2006 A4 Quattro 3.0 TDI has just struck a problem with the transmission. Its got 84K miles and really hope that one of the most trusted cars isn't dying on me.

Symptoms:
I heard a clunk when driving
All the transmission lights lit up
Then revved and wouldn't go past 2nd gear
And now won't go in reverse

Before i make some enquiries, just wanted the advise from the experts on here.
