B6 Avant Radio / Amp Problems and Replacment?
Hey Guys,
I've got a 2002 B6 A4 Avant 5spd 1.8T. Radio cuts off intermittenly, especially over bumps. Thought it could be the driver's door wiring harness, as it was worn. Replaced it and no luck. Upon further research, seems like the amp is going out. Can anyone verify or at least place guesses on this?
The amp in the car is Bose 355 019 (Amp, 3512, B6 Avant, Prod). I cannot find a replacement Amp with these Bose numbers? I did contact the dealer and was told the Audi part number is 8E9035382C, but it is $950.00! Wondering if anyone has any other suggestions for replacement amp (working used is okay), including aftermarket. Don't want to spend that much though! Especially if that's not the actual problem.

Hey Surf and Turf, have you made progress with this? I had the exact same problem and am now just getting around to fixing it. The symptoms I was experiencing sound exactly like yours and I just tried a different amp and it seems to have fixed the problem. I know that was months ago but I figured Id check in.
