My battery light turns on when I start the car, its a 2003 A4 3.0.After I getthe engine RPM's around 2000 rpm the light goes off and voltage goes from around 12V to 14V. Does anyone seen this happen before?

Clean the battery terminals.

your battery is dying... either due to a parasitic drain or just being old, loose terminals could be it but not likely... you start the car and the ECU see the battery low and puts the light up until the alt charges it up enough
