Boost problem
Whassup, I have a 99.5 A4 tiptronic FWD with 94k miles. I left the car with my lil bro at 60K came back and this is what I found. Alarm doesn't work, rear window buttons contols opposite side window. I had to replace my multitronic transmission sensor. He had electronics installed by a bunch of oxymorons and I'm told that the amp wiring was connected to the fuse going to the ecu.
I had a mechanic replace some fuses and get it back half way decent. He was an audi mech working on the side and was just to lazy to finish the job. The car still won't boost and he wasn't sure if I needed a new turbo or a MAF. I checked the turbo myself and it seemed fine but I'm no expert. I saw a write-up on MAF sensors and decided to check the voltage with my DMM. From gound I'm reading 13V on the striped wire and neither one of the other two wires has any voltage at all. Shouldn't I be reading a 5V signal on one of the wires. So I don't know if it's the turbo, MAF or the ECU.
The check light comes on sporadically whenever it feels like. APR chip is the only mod. I should be installing a gauge on Tuesday. Any ideas!!!!
