I've been driving my TT everyday to work and back with no problem but tonight i decided to drive to the store and as i pull up to a stoplight my engine starts to sound really rough, rpms started dropping really low, sounded like it was going to kill, and my exaust smelled like a combo of burning plastic and rotten egg.. check engine light came on a few seconds later and i plulled over.. turned it off.. Im sure i shouldnt shouldnt have but i did end up driving it about 2 blocks back to my garage. Oil looked normal. Coolant looked normal.. I'll get it towed tot he shop tomorrow. Any ideas whats going on?

Did some searching and coming up with possibly coil pack or o2 sensor issue?

 

rotten smell could have been misfire with raw fuel being dumped into exhaust.. once it goes through the cat it sometimes smells like that.. so yeah....bad coil pack could be one thing.. as well as o2 sensor.... what where the codes??
