So I was running a check engine light so I put the scanner on it...

I got this code. p0688
ECM/PCM power relay sensor circuit

What is this part and where is it located.

I have a 2003 a4 1.8t

17072 - ECM Power Relay Load Circuit: (J271): Open Circuit
P0688 - 35-10 - - - Intermittent

Check thevoltage to the ECU.

How do I do that?
Wheres the relay box located... Im not too good with Audis but I know on every other car theyre usually under the hood somewhere in a lil black box

Look to the driver's side of the battery.

I changed out this relay that everyone told me it was and its still not starting... There was no relay with 271... there was a 219. thats the one I changed. 40 bucks!

CPS now?

I dont wanna keep dumping money into it and it not be needed.

Got the same problem. My 2003 A4 w/1.8T will turn over but won't crank. Pulled a code P0688 and it also blows fuse #29 that the owners manual says is "engine timing". The pics helped a lot. Any ideas what is broke?
