can I drive with a bad coil??
I took the car to get scaned.. It turned out to be a bad coil in #2..It runs ruff at low RPMs.. should I park it til I get my parts or can I drive it to work, it's just 3 miles each way....

RE: can I drive with a bad coil??
bad coil means flashing CEL.... flashing CEL indicates a federal standard of a"catalyst damaging misfire"
CAT... DAMAGING...
is your motor going to blow...? No. but emission equipment are not cheap either.

So if your check engine light is flashing then it has to be a catalyst damaging misfire? It doesnt flash for any other reasons because mine is flashing and I have a real bad vibration through the drivetrain when pulling up through all gears! And at idle just sitting in neutral the engine is running good with smooth rpm's right where there supposed to be but the engine is shaking a little, and it gets worse when you rev it, I think it might be a dual mass flywheel gone bad as it has 95K on it. Its the car in my signature! Thanks guys
