OK .....I must admit is has been about 8 years since I have been on this forum and in fact had to create a new user ID.

When I first bought my A6 in May 2001 - I was on-line all the time and then - I just started to drive and have fun.

Anyway .... I now have 230,000 km on my fantastic vehicle .....although I am getting into a few repairs these days.

I just noticed a couple of days ago ....a red oil in the garage (I suspect transmission fluid?) ....probably about 2-3 oz........I am scheduled to go in on Monday and get my brakes done......

No lights on inside ....

Can I drive the 40 km into the dealer - On Monday. I am parking it until then.

Anything I should be checking under the hood?

They just recently replaced my valve cover gasket and mentioned may be a problem with tail shaft seal.

Looking for all the help I can get folks.....
