HI Everyone,

I have a 2005 Audi A4 wagon. I took it in for regular maintenance (25K miles), and as I drove it off, my right blinker light was blinking very fast. So, my wife took it back, and they replaced the blinker light. So, as my wife drove it back from the audi service place, the "check engine" light came on and stayed on while the car was on. It was on the next morning when I drove to work, but when I got in the car in the afternoon, it was no longer on and has not come back on (it has been about 3 days now).

The audi service person told my wife that sometimes the check engine light comes on when work is done on the car, i guess when they reset the computer or something, and if it goes off within a day, everything is ok. I had an appt to go back on MOnday, but since the light is off, and I called the service people up, and they said there is no need to go back in. Does that sound right to you all?

 

Go back and see what the stored code is. Could be nothing as said, but could be something they missed.
