I have acode display on my dash, it appears soon after I start driving, 1997 A8, I don't have a manual...it is a circle with nothing in the middle and 3 small lines on each side conforming around the circle, I will try to post a pic...can anyone tell me what this is?

I was thinking that, but unsure...I checked all the brake pads, fronts have a good amount left, except the rotors have criss cross pattern developed on them...back have about 50%...I was thinking of changing out the front rotors to sloted/drilled with different brake pads...

Mine as well! That's one mistake I made, was replacing the roders with OEM, instead of upgrading. Plus, I should've looked into the low dust emitting pads that I hear about. Actually, I've heard that the code you have only comes on when your pads are super worn, could be wrong though-

it could be that the sensor for the pads failed.
