Default Control Arm bushing - all 8 of them

Took a car to a mechanic. Upper/lower arm bushing for all four sides are either cracked or near there. If I don't, uneven tire wear, uneven balance (left/right, front/back). Not really a safety issue. Do all these make sense to you?

$1100 to do all these (looks like a good price).

2003 A6 frame, 55k (only) miles.

It is possible but you do not see too many cars that need all 8 control arms at the same time. This is on an Allroad? Are they just replacing the bushings or the entire arms?

If you can, have someone else (experienced w/ Audi) in your area take a second look before a big repair like that.

Let us know how you make out.
