New owner here of a 2003 A4 1.8T QA/ Manual. On the way to work this morning my coolant light alerted me. I check the tank and it is low and kind of brown and dirty. Just wondering what coolant you guys are using. I plan on flushing it out today so any help would be great.

G-12... It's red in color. When you mix "regular" coolant, it turns brown... Flush it out well, then refill with G-12.

 

Good luck with leak. I just went all the way around the engine replacing all the plastic coolant pieces. But that was due to previous owner overheating it.. Hope it something minor.

 

Thanks for the response!!! I plan on going to Audi today and pick up some G-12. cant find a leak anywhere but my plan is this weekend is replacing all the hoses and probably the waterpump just to be on the safe side.
