Coolant System Question

possibly related possibly not: when my car ISNT showing the COOLANT warning and i have my little screen, the temperatures are showing LOWER than actual. the other day it was like 100 degrees out and my external temperature readout said "71". heat still blows hot but AC doesnt seem to be working as well as before all this started happening. thanks again anyone who is willing to offer help!

The external air temp sensor it located in the grill in front of the radiator. It's possible that it's either unplugged or not completely connected.

thanks man, still just wondering, should i be burping the system while the car is running or when it is cold or when it it off but has been running for a while? i wanna do it at the right time. thanks

It's not a good idea to do it HOT as it will just steam on you. You can do it while the engine is running but just within a few minutes of being cranked from a cold start. Once the thing gets to over 170F, things get too HOT and your risk a bad burn.
