Possibly buying an A4 Quattro 2.8. Seriously considering it but it may have a blown head gasket or IDK maybe a bad oil cooler... Told it blows white smoke after coolant hose was replaced and now wont start..
I've done a VW 2.0 Rebuild before. Not sure what I may be in for with this one...

Clean but possible head gasket job needed-- worth it??
And again could a bad oil cooler cause white smoke and now no start??

 

a head gasket is more likely, the oil cooler on these cars is tiny and tough.
