Default creaking, chirping over bumps

2005 a6 3.2 quattro 73,xxx miles. im getting some creeking and a chirping noise coming from rear end over bumps. not sure if the 2 noises are related or seperate. the car makes no noise when i push down on the trunk and bounce the rear end. i crawled under the car last night and sprayed some wd-40 on the control arms and bushings, but this did nothing. maybe if i jack the car up and re-spray the wd-40 would be more effective? when the weather improves i want to take care of the noise with a buddy of mine, but obviously need to diagnose the problem first. Thanks for any info

The problem seemed to be due to the cold weather (for now). It started when the weather got bad, and is getting increasingly better as the weather improves.

my guess would be that it is the control arm area. I am in the process of replacing that now, and that would be my guess
