Default Creaking noise

I've got a '96 A4 2.8Q with a noise. Ahh...the noise posts. Trying to find a word that conveys the noise.

When I come up to a FULL stop and sometimes when I leave from a full stop I'll hear what I can only describe as a "creaking" noise coming from the rear of the car. I think the rear passenger side. It would seem to be break related. I don't hear it when I go over bumps or rough road so I'm doubtful of a general suspension prob. Anyone have any ideas for me?

It's your control arm bushings. Someone on this board posted a description of the sound as two balloons being rubbed together. I have the same problem. Do a seach for it on this forum; there are loads of posts pertaining to this exact problem.

Sounds to me like its your handbrake not releasing properly

Try engaging it half way and push the car a little. Mine does the same
