my cruise control in my 5spd 97 a4 1.8t doesnt work... any ideas? theres no fuse for it, does it just not work in manuals or is something wrong?

also the 2 things on the dash below the fuel guage, what are those for, and should they be doing anything in my a4?

 

I dunno about the cruise but the two things under your gas guauge are for that one thing that does the other thing and if they dont do anything it means the things broke...

You need to be more specific - we don't know what you're talking about.

Yes, the cruis control works on manual tranny's. The cruise control could have a problem in the relay switch or it could be further down the line. Without a VAG report or otherwise it's hard to tell online wht the problem could be.

 

im not about to spend money to fix it, i dont ever use it, i just noticed it doesnt work when i saw it there and tested it out... im not worried about it...

im more worried about the 2 LCDS below the fuel guage that dont show anything...
