i just bought a TT 2000 (Used) but great condidtion, however i have one issue, while driving at mostly any gear (Cut-off occurs at RPM 4) any idea what causes that and how it can be solved???

I saw a mechanic, he had a VAG and said the VAG says 7 when the car says 4.

 

Get your car scenned for codes and post them here. Either with a VAG or for free at autozone.

 

Sounds like your tach may be off. If the scan tool said 7k rpms thats probably where its at. does it sould like its reving really high when it hits 4k rpm?
