Default Vag Com issues?????

I have an '02 A6 that is having an issue. I cannot get Vag Com to connect to certain areas. I tried to set the auto lock feature, but it would not connect to 46. I took it to a local mechanic yesterday for an oil change and asked them to set the auto locks for me also. They also could not get it to connect to 46. Any ideas? Anybody know how to fix this issue? Thanks in advance.

02 and later cars have a second databus for convieniece items. Your scan too and theirs probably werent setup to recognize that databus.

Its the same obd connector but it uses differnet pins. You can also check to see if you have some blown fuses for the comfort system. If the module doesnt receive a power and ground then you cant comunicate with it.

Thanks! I had the dealership do it for me today. They had no problem getting logged in. It is working great now though. Thanks again!
