Cylinder 2 misfire...please help:-(
Hello all,
I am currently having a misfire issue which I can't figure out. I actually received a warning signal a few days ago when the car felt like it was misfiring when I first turned it on, but only lasted for a few seconds. All of a sudden this afternoon after work, I turn on the car and it is clearly misfiring. The engine light turns on and I imediately drove to the close by autozone to get the code checked. The code was for cylinder 2 misfire, so I simply think its a coil and go home. After changing the coil, same issue still occurs. I even tried with another coil, just in the unlikely case the new coil was broken, and its still not working. Could this be a computer issue? I bought the car with an APR chip, so that came to my mind. Any ideas? I also checked voltage to the lead of the coil wire and it has 11.5v.
Thank you very much for your help.

What model do you have ? My is a 2006 A6 and experiencing the same problems. Only 11000 miles on it. It missfires but after a while it returns to normal. Drive it for a few hundred miles and the same crap happens again. Dealer is havinga hard time figuring this one out.

Swap the #2 coil to another cylinder & also swap around the plugs, & see if the MF moved to that cylinder.
You might as well change the plugs while your messing around.
