Question Disable seatbelt chime without VAGCOM???

I have a B6 S4, and I would really like to have my seatbelt chime disabled, but my local dealership wont do it, and I am looking for any other options to get it turned off without having any access to a VAGCOM. My question is this: What would happen if I just simply unplugged the electrical connection for the seatbelt under the seat? Has anybody tried that? Would it turn off, or change anything with my airbag system?

I simply turn off the chime by putting on my seatbelt!

Disconnecting that might cause your airbags to not sense that you're there, which could be an issue. You'd get a dash light too, most likely.

Just my best guess!
