Default Disabling Headlight Washers

I just got a 02 a4 1.8t....I noticed a very small amount of washer fluid in the garge on the front passenger side. I took out the headlight and can see the headlight washer pump is the problem. After reading a lot of posts on this I think I'd rather just disable the headlight washer system altogether. Sounds like they cause a lot of problems and I could live without it. What's the easiest way to do this?

Thanks a million.

I don't have teh manual for you specific vehicle, as I drive an A8, but, your vehicles manual should tell you which fuse goes to what vehicle function. Check it out and see if the fuse for teh headlight washers ONLY covers teh headlight washers. I'm fairly certain that is teh case. If you do not have your manual, or if you're still not sure, take a moment to post in the A4 section. I'm 100% certain someone there WILL know, and share taht information with you.

According to my program, the fuse that is used for the headlamp washer is the same as the fuse for the windshield washer. Your best bet would be to unhook the washer pump.
I attached a image of where the reservior is. Hope it helps

This might have been covered but I wasn't sure for my model...what's the easiest way to access the headlight washer pump?

You should be able to see it from underneeth the car. Its near the bottom of the reservoir at the front. Just follow the hose from the headlamp washers to the reservoir and thats your pump.

I found the pump...is there any trick to pulling the plug out? I can't really see what I'm doing and for some reason it's not coming out....pull harder?

There may be a clip, or clamp, of somr sort, holding it in place. DEon't pull harder untill yiou've poked/peeked/felt around/above/under the thingy (<--technical term) to determine what's holding it in place so firmly. Get yersel;f one of those tiny little LED flashlights to see better with...
