Driver side door won't unlock with remote

Driver side door won't unlock with remote
I have a b5 s4 and i can't get the driver side door to unlock with the remote. It will lock with the remote and all of the other doors work fine. Also the lock/unlocked indicator thing will move up and down with the remote. I assume it can't be a pump issue because the other doors work. Anyone have any ideas? Can there be a problem with the latch in the door?
