Default dv install

ok lets see, i bought a 200 a4 1.8t, it came with a hks bov, i have done some work sinse then and i want to go back to a dv because i have heard all sorts of bad things with bov(mind you i bought the car with the bov already on there), because i didn't know at the time it was bad. there is no airbox in the car, and i dnt want to lose performance in my car, so this is prolly a re post but, how do i install one from the point that i am in right now, what do i need to do this there is a homemade intake that i made with intercooler piping, with the mas sensor in it. im going to miss that sound, but it has to go if i want my car to work right.

If it has an atmospheric DV in place of the stock recirculating DV (at the back of the engine) then this can cause problems! It is worth replacing it for a stock DV of Forge Recirculating DV roughly £100!

Im not sure what you mean with the air box and losing performance part?

i read a lot on the form that having a bov can cause a loss of performance, due to not having the recirclation feature for the maf sensor

There is that but more importantly is the wear on the cat and other parts of the engine, as it is running lean every gear change, really isnt good for the car!

see the problem is idk where it goes because i bought it with a bov, is there a difference in the way it is put into a car, i have no idea where to begin in this process, how do i hook something up that isnt there or hasn't been there while in my possession, right now it has a bov, i need to put in a dv, where everyone is putting these dv, there is nothing there on my car, see my car had a gt30 and it has now led my to believe that running lean do to bov, has made the turbo seize.

DOESNT SOUND FUN!

Im not 100% sure what an A4 looks like underneath thebonnet, but you dont seem to be getting much help from any A4 owners, so ill presume it is simialr to an A3!

The stock/standard DV is at the back of the engine im presuming your car is left hand drive, if so it will be towards the back of the engine on the left!, it is a black plastic looking thing, with 3 pipes! Im sure yuo know what it loos like Thats the one you want to make sure is a Re-circulationg Valve!!!!

Is the HKS fitted at the front of the engine? On the big black pipe coming from the throttle body? <--- IMPORTANT!
