I got used A4 Avant Quattro 5sp 1.8T with 90K. What is the expected highway mileage on this? If I keep it below 75 on the highway I only get 24 MPG. This can't be right.....is it?

I did the regular filter and plug stuff but still the same. Could a bad O2 sensor or Cat Conv cause poor mileage?

So is your 24MPG an average on a full tank or do you have the onboard diagnostics with the trip computer? what year is it? cat conversion to a test pipe? if so MPG would be raised...

 

MPG based on fill vs miles. 1999 and counting. I was expecting more mileage from a 1.8T engine. I checked and saw a 2004 date code on the Catalytic converter, it was replaced.

Can anyone confirm that 24 Highway with a 1.8T is right? Audi website is vegue.

 

I get closer to 30 and thats with a speed usually over 75.
